Greetings from Yorkshire!

I've just got back from a wild walk along the cliffs near me at Flamborough. The corvids are becoming very vocal, the leaves are falling and nature is clearly moving deeply into autumn. For landscape photographers this is one of the most exciting times of the year. As I strolled along these cliffs, it occurred to me that I haven't run a workshop at North Landing, Flamborough for many years. It was always a very popular destination and I have many happy memories of those times spent wandering the cliffs. I decided to put things right and have added a date to the calendar for next year. I do hope you can join me. I'll be on hand to guide you, encouraging you to explore your own personal creative objectives. On the subject of workshops, I have also added dates for Winter Solitude (Northcliffe Wood), Spurn Point, Saltwick Bay and the Cairngorms! All of which can be accessed here.

Excitingly, during October/November I will be presenting a series of three talks for the Royal Photographic Society Landscape Group. I presented the first talk last week and I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity. We had some interesting questions. In fact, rather than waffling on about myself and my own work, I much prefer when people get involved and I'll always encourage a good dialogue as part of these talks. Next up is 'The Art of Composition' which you can book here.

Huge thanks to everyone that has purchased one of my two recently released monographs 'Forest Visions' and 'Where the North Winds Blow: The Wild Purity of Unst'. The eBook format has proved popular and on a personal level it feels good to have my projects presented in full for you to view.

You can view currently available eBooks here.

I am also working on an eBook which I intend to release as a landscape photographer's guide. Following that, collating my three major projects 'Where Ravens Soar', 'Beyond the Cairn’ and 'Chi-suji' into eBooks and eventually physical publication will be my main focus.

That's all for now. Talk soon.
